Red, white and boom! It’s time to celebrate Independence Day with some easy-to-make party favor crafts. These inexpensive crafts are a fun addition to a 4th of July party or BBQ.
While you are getting ready for the party, cutting up the watermelon and prepping the grill, get the kids in on the action and have them make these 4th of the July favors. They are also simple enough to make that the kiddos can do themselves or with little supervision. (It’s also a great summer boredom buster!) The best part of this whole project is that you probably have most of these supplies in your home already. So, you won’t need to take another trip to the store.
Make one for each of the guests or just for the kids coming to your party. As your guests leave, have the kids pass them the out. They will be proud of all of their hard and creative work.

Step 1: Download these free 4th of July printables from your home computer.
Step 2: Fill the toilet paper rolls with your favorite candy.
Step 3: Cut the tissue paper so it’s about 3-4 inches longer than the toilet paper roll. Make sure the tissue paper is wide enough so that it can wrap around the toilet paper roll at least once.
Step 4: Place the toilet paper roll in the center of the sheet of tissue paper.
Step 5: Tape one end of the tissue paper toilet paper roll. Roll the toilet paper roll so that the tissue paper covers it entirely. You may want to roll it around twice. Secure with tape.
Step 6: Cut the ribbon into 4″-5” long pieces.
Step 7: Tie the ribbon around the sides of the toilet paper roll.
Step 8: Peel a 4th of July label and stick it onto the “firecracker.”
