If you’re hosting a baby shower any time soon, you’re going to absolutely love this tutorial! These custom baby shower lip balm favors are easy and inexpensive to make thanks to the free label design you can find at OnlineLabels.com. I’m going to walk you step-by-step through how easy it is to make these for your shower. Let’s get started!
First thing we’ll have to do is grab a few sheets of Tamper Evident Lip Balm Labels from OnlineLabels.com. I highly suggest using the aggressive version because it has a stronger adhesive on the back to prevent the label from curling up on the edges. OnlineLabels.com has made it super easy to customize your own label with their free designs available on their site. I loved this striped pink one!
Now that we have our labels printed out, let’s get started on making the lip balm! The ingredients you’ll need are 2 tbsp each of Shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax. Optional ingredients are cosmetic-grade coloring and lip flavoring. I added 30 drops of spearmint essential oil and it smelled amazing!
The process to make these favors is super easy. Just place the Shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax in a double boiler (or a glass bowl placed over a pot of boiling water) and melt on low heat. Once everything is melted, you can stir in the additional ingredients. Carefully pour into each of the lip balm tubes and set aside to harden for 1 hour before capping.
Once the tubes have all been filled and allowed to harden, all you have to do is remove one of the labels and wrap it around the tube. The labels are perfectly sized to fit on most lip balm containers!
I don’t know about you guys but I love receiving party favors that are practical and consumable. That way I can make sure they won’t take up space on a shelf, collecting dust. Hope you guys find this Custom Baby Shower Lip Balm Favors tutorial helpful!
