Using Labels to Promote Your Candle or Wax Melt Business

You love selling your candles and wax melts. It’s your passion, but unfortunately, it’s also the passion for other entrepreneurs out there too. Whether your selling on Etsy or at a local farmer’s market your products need to stand out. The number one way for them to stand out is with your label design and selection.

That’s where we at can help you. We have so many sizes, colors and materials to choose from. Plus, you can design your own labels right here on our web site.

When it comes to selecting the size you need, first determine how large your candle’s packaging is and how you plan on displaying it. Do you want a label on the candle jar itself? Does the candle even have a jar? Will there be a labeled box? Will the wax melts be in little baggies, plastic packaging, mason jars? And will those be labeled? When coming up with your packaging, it’s the little details that count.

Then, you need to figure out how large of a label you need. The best way to do this is the old fashion way – with a ruler. We suggest buying samples of a variety of shapes (such as rectangles, ovals, circles), material (such as weatherproof, glossy, matte) and sizes and then figuring out which one looks best on your packaging. We have already selected a number of labels that would fit and coordinate with candles. Click here to check them out.

Then, you need to decide what to write on the labels. The most important is that the name of the company and product name is clearly visible.

Here are some other ideas to put on the labels:

  • Logo
  • Product ingredients
  • Weight/size of the product
  • Flavor
  • Product instructions
  • Social media accounts
  • Web site
