Now is the perfect time to start planning your Halloween neighbor gift! What’s a “You’ve Been Boo’d” gift you ask? I’m happy to tell you! It’s a fun tradition to share goodwill among your neighbors. Basically, you leave a small Halloween-themed gift at their door with the instructions to continue gift-giving with another set of neighbors. Who wouldn’t love to be surprised with Halloween goodies at their door?
Now that you understand what a Halloween neighbor gift is, let’s start assembling one! For the paper portion of this project, you’ll need a Door Hanger sheet from OnlineLabels.com, another sheet of heavy cardstock, and the “Halloween Boo’d Neighbor Gift” free printable file.
I absolutely love printing on door hangers from OnlineLabels.com! There’s just something so gratifying about separating them along their perforated edges. These door hangers work perfectly to tell everyone that your house has already received a Halloween neighbor gift so that no one receives duplicate gifts.
With your door hangers and instruction sheets printed, just assemble a little gift and attach both sheets. I went super easy with my door hanger and just tied a piece of ribbon to a metal tin to hang from the door knob. You can go as simple or as complicated with this part of the gift as you want! Just keep in mind that you’ll be making two of them.
Now that your gift is ready to go, just leave the gifts at two of your neighbor’s doors and then knock and run! Hopefully your neighbors will enjoy the surprise gift and continue passing on the small tokens of goodwill onto other neighbors until all the houses in your area have been “Boo’d!” Happy haunting!
