I don’t know about you, but I love picnics. What is not to love? You’re outside with friends enjoying the day and a tasty meal. Whether it’s cool outside or a nice warm day, a picnic will always bring a smile to your heart. What’s great, even if it’s snowing or raining outside, you can always just toss a blanket on the floor in your living room and have an indoor picnic (which is sometimes more memorable anyway.)
Picnics are great for family outings, playdates, first dates, movies-in-the-park, days at the zoo, or even a lunch out with friends. Plus, picnics can provide amazingly cute Instagram-worthy photos or, better yet, a time to be phone-free.
To help make the outing even more quaint, I created classic-designed labels to put on your brown paper lunch bags. Another extra and special touch is to seal the bags with a clothespin that is attached to a fork. Everyone loves a two-in-one.
Not sure what to make for your picnic? Here are some ideas and even some recipes:
- Chips and Salsa
- Cinnamon/Maple Nuts
- Fresh fruit
- Fresh veggies and hummus or tzatziki dip
If you don’t have time to make food or if you’re not a good cook, buy a sub at a sandwich shop, chips from the chip aisle, but add the homemade touch with the brown paper bag with the label on it. Here is how you do it.
- Brown Paper Bags
- Glue Dots
- Plastic or Wooden forks
- OL500 – 4″ x 3″ Labels
- Free Printables
Step 1: Download and print out these free labels or make your own using Onlinelabels.com’s Maestro Label Designer.
Step 2: Stick two glue dots on a clothespin. Then, stick a fork onto the clothespin.
Step 3: Stick a label onto the brown paper bag.
Step 4: Place your food inside your brown paper bag, fold the top and seal it with the clothespin.
Project finished. Enjoy your picnic.
