I’ve been an avid reader for most of my life and one of my favorite gifts I received as a young child were my very own personalized bookplates. I’m not sure why I loved them so much. Maybe because my books were so important to me? Or maybe because I felt fancy having bookplates with my name on them? Whatever the reason, I still love making and using bookplates! I made these custom vintage bookplates for my son but figured you would love them too.
The only things you need to make these Custom Vintage Bookplates is a few sheets of 1.5″ x 1.5″ square labels from OnlineLabels.com and the free “Custom Vintage Bookplates” file available below. I used basic white paper for my labels but OnlineLabels.com has tons of different color choices for you to choose from. I love the idea of printing these bookplates on Gold Foil or Brown Kraft paper!
In order to customize these bookplates with your own name or the name of the person you’ll be gifting these to, just open the file in Adobe Acrobat. Once the file is open, you’ll just have to click on the “Name” field and enter in your information. The file is set to auto-populate the rest of the bookplates with the same name. Easy peasy, right? All you have to do now is just print out the labels and you’ll have 24 custom vintage bookplates!
I absolutely love the size of these small bookplates! They’re large enough to get noticed but small enough to be unassuming. How cute would it be for a teacher or librarian to gift these to his or her students? Hope you enjoy the free custom vintage bookplates file!
