There are few things that are as luxurious and special as a homemade bar of soap. Sure, you could easily run out to any store and pick up something that would probably cost less for more but the mass-produced variety will never even come close to the quality and care that goes into handmade soap. One of my favorite soap blends for both scents and soothing is honey soap. I absolutely love the way it smells and it makes my skin so nice and smooth! Here’s a super easy tutorial on how to make your own homemade honey soap and I’ve even included a free printable just in case you want to give any as gifts. Hope you enjoy!
To make your own, all you need is some melt & pour soap (I’m a fan of the shea butter variety), soap mold, honey, and Hexagon Labels from OnlineLabels.com. Of course, you don’t absolutely need the labels to make this soap but they sure do add that finishing touch if you’re planning on gifting or selling them!
To make the soap, just follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the back of the packaging to melt the soap. Allow cooling slightly before adding 2 tablespoons of honey to the melted soap. Mix thoroughly before pouring into a hexagon-shaped mold.
Allow soap to harden completely before trying to remove from mold. Package in plastic wrap and finish off with a “Honey Soap” label! I love the idea of pairing a couple soaps with some local raw honey and a few other treats in a basket to give as a “Just Because” gift or maybe as a little treat to welcome new neighbors. I know I would absolutely love to get a basket like that! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and have a great time making some Handmade Honey Soap for you or a friend!
