You know, I actually love giving gifts more than I love receiving them. I love making someone smile and feel special.
As an artist, I feel like the package a gift is in is almost as important as the gift itself. It shows that you put extra effort and thought into the gift.
My birthday is this week. In honor of my big day, I made some really cool, graphic wrapping paper ideas to show you and printable tags that you can download as well.
I made the tags using the Maestro Label Designer. I made the label black by creating a black rectangle over the entire label in the design system. I wanted these tags to be simple. I think they turned out great. Don’t you?
- White wrapping paper
- Paint brushes
- Craft paint
- Paper plate for a paint palette
- Black yarn
Wrap your gift.
- Confetti Wrapping Paper:
Paint short lines all over your white paper in a multitude of colors.
- Graphic Triangles Wrapping Paper:
Paint black triangles on white wrapping paper. Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
- Graphic Arrows Wrapping Paper:
Paint black and neon green arrows on white wrapping paper. Make a majority of the arrows black and sprinkle the green arrows throughout your pattern.
- Graphic Rainbow Triangle Wrapping Paper:
Paint interconnecting triangles in various sizes all over your white wrapping paper. Then paint in a few of the triangles with bright fun pops of color.
- Colorful Peace Sign Wrapping Paper:
Paint a peace sign in a variety of colors. Then paint over the colors with black paint.
Step 2. Wrap yarn a few times around the present, then attach the tag to the yarn. This completes the present look with hip clean lines.
Personally, I think the rainbow triangle and the black triangle wrapping paper is my favorite. Which one do you like the best? Here’s another wrapping paper idea that you’ll love:
