Spray a light coat of the hairspray on the alphabet stickers. Aerosol is a must. A pump hair spray will be too wet. The hairspray will add a waterproof coat to the stickers.

Once the hairspray is dry, use a ruler to help line the alphabet stickers up on a sheet of the watercolor paper. Press firmly to ensure the paint won’t get underneath the stickers.

Use water and a paintbrush to wet the paint and apply different colors to the letters and the area around them. Clean the brush between colors by rinsing in it a cup of water.

Continue painting all of the letters and the areas around them. Be sure not to over saturate the stickers.

This is my favorite part. Look how crisp those lines are!
