Summer has officially begun for my family, which means it is finally time to start working on making those quality family memories! One of my kids favorite things to do is make the summer adventure list, in fact, I think they might like making the list even more than they like doing the things on the list.
This year, I wanted to do something a little different, something a little more interactive. I decided to turn the front of our fridge into a summer adventure list, with half being what’s left to do, and the other half things we have done. It will be fun to see the things we have done list grow as the summer goes on, plus it will keep me accountable and on track to actually do some of these things!
I started off by heading to our local dollar store and picking up a couple of magnetic vent covers. These sheets of magnet are thin enough to be easily cut by scissors, yet sturdy enough to handle little fingers messing with them constantly.
I cut them into “by 2” strips and give them a quick face lift with some fun washi tape.
Then I used some return address labels to print out each of our summer adventures! I stuck them on the magnets and then popped them up on the fridge. The kids love that they can see all the fun things we are going to do this summer. And I love that it is a simple way to keep track of what’s left to do!
