Valentine’s Day Party Balloons

I don’t know about you, but I love a great DIY project that takes less than 30 minutes with amazing results. Especially when you forget until the night before that you promised your child’s teacher or best friend you would supply some of the Valentine’s Day party décor. Hello instant cuteness with these DIY Valentine’s Day party balloons!

I picked out my go-to Valentine’s Day colors for the balloons and heart labels. You can’t go wrong with red, white and pink. I’ve already made your project a breeze by providing the heart label information below!

Anyone can show up to a party with colorful balloons, but you can be the next candy heart quote by showing up with these heart balloons. Better yet, you can add polka dots, stripes, and other shapes to customize these balloons for your next event by using labels. Don’t limit these vibrant balloons to just a Valentine’s Day party!

Creating Valentine's Balloons using labels

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:

Materials needed for Valentine's Day Balloons

Step 1: I went to my local party store to have my festive Valentine’s Day balloons inflated with helium.  Please keep in mind that balloons blown up with helium only last about 12 hours.  Also, check your local grocery store if you don’t have a party store nearby.

Step 2: Once home, I clipped clothespins on the string so that I could sit comfortably while sticking the labels onto the balloons. I placed the heart labels evenly throughout the surface of each balloon. Don’t forget to press down all edges of the labels once you have placed them on the balloon so they don’t peel off.

That’s it! Seriously, how easy is that? You can use as many or as little heart labels as you would like. For each balloon, I used about 35 heart labels (a sheet and a half).
