DIY Hot Cocoa Kit Holiday Gift

There are some people in your life that just touch your heart and over the holidays you want to give them a kind gesture to tell them how much you appreciate them. Each year, I struggle with this. I want to give them something special, but I also don’t want to break the bank because I have my family members and best friends to buy for.

So this year, I thought I’d make homemade DIY hot cocoa kits. I wanted to give these kits a little kick so I added a mini bottle of Baileys to the mix. Of course you can skip the Baileys if you’re sending one to your child’s teacher (although, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind it).  This gift is also great for your co-workers, secret Santa and stocking stuffers. They are also a great party favor for a holiday party.

Thank you for sharing this. It is the perfect party favor for our Christmas Party.
Do you include instructions about how to make the hot chocolate?
How much water do you use per gift jar and how many servings does it make?
    Thank you again.

Hi Cynthia! I used about 4 packets of hot cocoa. To make the hot cocoa you need 3/4 of a cup of water or milk per packet. So that’s 3 cups of water or milk for this gift jar.

To make the hot cocoa, you heat up your milk or water (don’t boil), then gradually stir in the powder until it’s dissolved.

Top with the peppermints and mini marshmallows. ENJOY!

    Thanks!
    Kelly
