There are times when you want to say a little more than “thank you” to show others how much you appreciate them. I personally love to spoil my friends, family, and neighbors with delicious desserts made from scratch. The effort, thought, and details with the packaging let others quickly know how much you truly appreciate them.
Recently, my neighbor came to my rescue in a big way. I knew immediately that I wanted to thank them with my delicious chocolate chip banana bread that my mother also baked for neighbors around the holiday season growing up. With such a special recipe that results in a delicious dessert, I knew I had to have amazing packaging! Hello Onlinelabels.com and their abundant assortment of labels.
I easily and quickly designed my own set of labels for my chocolate chip banana bread using Maestro Label Designer. You have the opportunity to use them too and download them for free! There are three different designs that will make your friends and family laugh, smile and want to put their bread on display. . .but not for too long!
Makes 2 loaves of chocolate chip banana bread.
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 large)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 4×8 loaf pans
Step 1 – Go ahead and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease your loaf pans.
Step 2 – In a medium bowl mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside for now.
Step 3 – In a large mixing bowl at medium speed beat the sugar, oil and the eggs until combined. Add the bananas and mix until well blended. I used my KitchenAid Mixer on speed 4.
Step 4- At a low speed, (speed 2 on the KitchenAid Mixer) mix in the flour mixture just until blended.
Step 5- Stir in the chocolate chips.
Step 6- Pour the mixture into the two 4 x 8 loaf pans by dividing the amount.
Step 7- Bake for 45 – 50 minutes or until you can insert a wooden toothpick in the center and it comes out clean.
Step 8- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Step 9- Remove the bread and completely cool them on a wire rack. Wrap in plastic wrap, then foil and store overnight before serving.
Time to decorate your bread with pretty packaging using OL9350WX Labels from Onlinelabels.com!
Step 1- Once the chocolate chip banana bread has cooled, cut a piece of wax paper that’s a little shorter than the length of the bread and wraps around the banana bread completely. Fold the extra wax paper that extends past the middle and secure with tape.
Step 2- Cut a piece of Kraft paper slightly smaller than the wax paper. Wrap it around the bread and secure it by placing a piece of tape on the back.
Step 3- Apply your label on the center of the Kraft paper.
Step 4- Wrap twine around the bread (not too tight) and secure by tying the twine on the bottom of the bread.
You’re now set for giving a delicious gift or thank you present for this holiday season! Fingers crossed it makes it out of your house before you eat it! Yes, it’s that good!
