The size of your label sheet will depend on the size of your envelopes. You want a label that is as wide as your envelope. These 4.25 x 5.5 inch labels in white matte worked perfectly for my envelopes. If you can’t find a label that will work, just purchase the full sheet labels and trim to width after printing. Remove the liner and place in the envelope just so that the white portion is not visible any longer. The map DOES NOT go all the way to the bottom of the envelope. Press to adhere the label to the inside of the envelope and the flap.
Turn over and use your scissors to trim around the flap on both sides.
You now have a gorgeous map lined envelope that only took you seconds to make. This is one budget friendly way to add a special touch to wedding invitations and more.
Of course, you just added a label over the sticky part of your envelope so you will need a way to hold these closed once you stuff them. Again, print the full-size map sheet. This time, use the circle label of your choice. You can then use these to hold closed those envelopes. Plus, they will match the envelope liners that you just created.
If you love vintage maps, be sure to add this custom touch to any invitations or letters. The recipients will think you spent a fortune for these custom envelopes when really it was a budget friendly DIY project that you did yourself in seconds.
